Here comes the Chinese Dragon Boat festival on 22nd June, upon request by many of you we have created a KIT with all the essential ingredients for making the yummy rice dumplings "Zongzi". We challenge you however to make the southern deluxe version of Zongzi called "Guo Zheng Zong 裹蒸粽"。

WHY MAKE GUO ZHENG ZONG AND NOT REGULAR ZONGZI?
They are just more delicious and easier to make! Guo Zheng Zong is wrapped with bamboo and lotus leaves, which add an extra layer of fragrance. The wrapping process is beginner-friendly as you can fold it up on a tabletop, which also affects the shape of the rice dumplings: Guo Zheng Zong is noticeably bigger with a pyramid shape. Compared to the average Zongzi, Guo Zheng Zong is filled with more premium ingredients, such as Cantonese sausages, salted egg yolk, mushroom, and chestnut, apart from mung bean and pork belly.
