Kumamoto ramen features a robust tonkotsu broth accompanied by thin straight noodles, fried separately with blck sesame oil to accentuate its garlic flavor. The soup base utilizes no animal ingredients, like meat, fish, shellfish, or milk, and instead is comprised of soybean milk powder, powered oil, soy sauce powder, and seasoning vegetables. For the noodles, non-fried straight noodles of medium thickness typify the Kumamoto style, boasting a texture that is moderately chewy and smooth. The wheat flour used is specially-developed to enhance ramen's boil-resistance and robustness.

Boil 500ml of water in a pot, add 1 bunch of noodles and cook for 3 minutes. (Adjust boiling time in accordance with your preference).

When the noodles are cooked, turn off heat, add one bag each of soup and black ma-yu oil, and gently stir.

Transfer to a bowl and consume while hot.
