Tian shui mian, literally translated as “sweet water noodles” is a classic staple side dish of Sichuan. The hand-cut, udon-like noodles are sauced with concentrated soy sauce which is seasoned with sugar and a variety of spices. It tastes super chewy in texture and sweet in complex taste. This version of tian shui main from Akuan has a taste of duck, giving it a richer taste.

Try this classic dish from Sichuan!

Place the noodles in a bowl, add 550ml of boiling water and cover. To heat up the sauce packs, leave them on top of the cover. Wait for 5-6 minutes, drain the water, add in the sauce, mix and serve.
