Mooncake is a type of dim sum and a baked pastry traditionally filled with both sweet and savory ingredients such as egg custard, salty yolk, lotus cream, fruit paste and even meat. They are eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival (15th Aug. of the lunar calendar, 29th Sep 2023), while admiring the moon at its brightest and fullest. This tradition dates back over 3000 years, making Mid-Autumn Day the second most important festival after the Chinese New Year.
This year we have selected both sweet and savory flavours of freshly baked mooncakes, from the best Chinese bakery "Parigi Dolci" in Milan. And new flavors will be introduced weekly.

How to enjoy mooncakes?
It is recommended to heat the mooncake in over medium-high heat in a microwave oven for 10-15 seconds. Cut the mooncakes into 4-6 small wedges, paired with traditional Chinese tea like Oolong, Jasmine Green and Tie Guan Yin. It is served usually as an after-dinner dessert.
Expiry date
The mooncakes expire in about 15-30 days after production, and we will be adding fresh batches every week from now to the end of September. For exact expiry dates please check the labels at the back of the product.
How to store mooncakes?
Store the mooncakes in a cool and dry place, without being exposed to direct sunlight. After opening, mooncakes should be kept in airtight containers. They can be stored at room temperature and we suggest that you consume them as soon as possible to enjoy their optimal tastes. Storing in the fridge is recommended in the hot summer months, which can extend its duration by 1-2 weeks.
