Tteokbokki or topokki, literally translated as “stir-fried rice cake,” is a popular Korean street food made with pounded rice, stir-fried in a rich sauce that comes in various tastes. Yopokki has proposed this chewy and yummy snack with a sweet and mildly spicy sauce, packed in a cup to go just like the ones used on the streets of Seoul.

Ready in 3 minutes in the microwave, otherwise over a stove if you prefer a more tender texture, here is how to cook:

1. Put the rice cake and the seasoning in a saucepan.

2. In the empty cup, add water to the marked line, then add this water to the saucepan.

3. Cook over medium heat, until the sauce thickens, and stir continually during the process.

4. Put the ready-made tteokbokki back into the cup and dig in!

Spiciness: mild to none

1. Put rice cake and seasoning in the cup.
2. Fill water to the marked line inside.
3. Stir well and cover it askew.
4. 2min (1,000W) or 3min (700W) in Microwave.
You can cook it also in a small sauce pan, for about 3-5 minutes.

Li ho provati per la prima volta e sono davvero buoni. Io ho usato meno condimento perché li preferisco meno piccanti. Ancora più belli e buoni se aggiungi altri ingredienti al tuo piatto. Ottimi.


Sono veramente buoni e facili da preparare! Un pó piccanti ma forse perché non sono abituata! Li consiglio al 100%! Io gli ho mangiato aggiungendo il kimchi!
